Character Background and Description Angela was not on the first wave of people to come to the moon, nor the second. She was not among the first people to come to Neo Miami to live there, nor a member of the second wave. Angela came to the moon when the president of Rising Star Industries, James Woods, requested that she do so- as a fresh CEO, to oversee the company's more important moon-based work and receive information from the Earth-side operations, rather than the other way around. At this point, she's been on the moon for a decade.
Angela was the youngest of 7 children born in New Orleans. Both of her parents worked hard to provide for her and her siblings (with her oldest siblings, as time went on, doing what they could to help), but there was always something missing, something else they needed but couldn't have. After she graduated valedictorian from high school, she went on to study business and finance in college, where she ran a chess club. When she graduated, she was hired as a member of the accounting department at a company then called Aquarius Industries.
Over the next 20 years, she clawed her way up the management chain at Aquarius industries, and when the company was renamed to Rising Star Industries, she was offered the position of Chief Executive Officer by the Board of Directors and company president, which she gracefully accepted.
Angela runs Rising Star with an iron fist- no method too dirty, no dissent acceptable. To question her instructions is to get fired, to delay a project is to be demoted. Capability and reliability are rewarded, inability is punished- and she keeps a collection of almost a dozen secretaries, supervising the day-to-day running of every project, to ensure that the organization stays exactly the way she wants it to.
